Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Miserable for the sake of being miserable

Those who are staying are addicted to being miserable. Either that or they're suffering from an extreme case of Stockholm Syndrome. I have no other explanation for it. It has never been easier to find a new job. There are so many available in our industry and outside of it that you can get several offers within just a couple of weeks of starting your search. Move on. If you don't do it now, you'll stay miserable forever. Which, as I said, might be the point.

Most people stay because they like it here.

If you are miserable the only reason to stay is if you are near 55 so you can get SF retirement. Otherwise there are many companies posting remote jobs, claims included, that are desperate for candidates. Use your leverage while you have it. The job market won't always be this good.

Totally agree with OP. Miserable people enjoy being miserable-they wear it like some kind of sick badge…..

I love how the people in the easy cake jobs at SF, just say to leave if you don’t like. How about all you that are so happy transfer over to claims and start taking calls, let’s keep that promise! Constant understaffing, no PTO availability and mandatory OT await you. Oh wait, you aren’t interested in taking care of the customer and going where you are actually needed? These posts are never done in good faith.

For some its is probably just more comfortable to just stay if they are getting a good rating and bonus.

I echo what you said and agree 100% if you are not happy there are many greater opportunities out there! Go find them and do not look back!
