I think that GF can no longer slow down or stop attrition. Such a thing would require radical changes in the company, and they will not happen, at least not for now.
How will GF replace all the people who leave? .........My team are leaving colleagues who are not easy to replace.
Next year will be hard, that much is already clear to me. I'm getting ready for a bumpy ride, as long as I'm here.

Development stopped long back. They will survive to keep fabs running.
There will be delays but it's doesn't matter now as supply shortage already caused delays to many customers.
I left in January and was just cold called (December) by someone who wanted to interview me and ask why I left. Attrition must be pretty bad now.
Attrition has been high for years. Yet, here we are, making chips. 7 years with the company, 27 in the industry. Many folks cant hack the industry. I've seen many come and go over the years yet here we are making chips. Company is flush with cash, stock is doing well and raises and bonuses are starting to roll out. Enjoy the ride, global is an atm machine at the moment, nothing more.
