Needing Advice

How do I leave this company the right way? I know some pretty great people here but I've seen some pretty awful behavior and toxicity within the company culture also stemming from leadership downward. Its starting to really get to me despite my efforts to address it and stay away from it. Someone just told me about this site and I'm completely shocked to realize I'm not the only person feeling this way (some more negative than others). Its getting so bad I can hardly stomach it.

Its time for me to move on but I don't want to leave wrong. Any thoughts on a good and classy way to walk out the door so that I retain my self respect and can hold my head high? I'm doing the best I can here.

When you ask "How do I leave this company the right way?", it would appear you are asking how to leave in a way where you don't feel bad / can hold your head up high walking out the door. That may be important to you, but understand that the company does not give a flying f. Nobody will build a monument to you after you're gone...rather they will bring in another person / widget to replace the cog in the big ugly green machine. As someone else said, "respectfully hand in your resignation and work your notice period" without being negative / talking bad about the company. That's it.

What do you mean leave in the wrong way? Just respectfully hand in your resignation and work your notice period.
