Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Marketing?

Recently looked through some old files and saw the names of all of the competent leaders who have left marketing. Then I join all hands to hear the new leader humbly describe herself as “super smart” and “sharp elbowed” as her reasons for getting the job, despite no marketing expertise or experience. If nothing else, great fodder for the next Dilbert! Maybe an Office Space remake focused on Staples Inc?

I laughed when I heard that ASV was promoted to SVP, what an absolute joke. Let me tell you how smart I am - ASV. HAHAHAHA good luck everyone, that place is a train wreck.

In November 2021 hundreds of Staples employees were laid off with only a 4 hour notice. We heard rumblings there are more layoffs coming in February 2022. For those of you still at Staples especially in any furniture business capacity, you should be looking for a new job. Everything is going to online sales only. And the warehouses and installations will be done April-July 2022 as they close up shop. Best of luck to everyone job searching. You will land somewhere great soon. The job market is good right now.

Kissing up is how this SLT got promoted - not surprised! Just wait for who is running it in 6 months.
