What are you talking about, have you not listened to one word Kelly says? Truist doesn’t lay off people, they have them sign “happiness” papers.

In all seriousness, layoffs have long been a fundamental part of SunTrust’s (um, I mean Truist) fear-based management style. It is a big reason why SunTrust, from a performance perspective, was such a laggard before the merger - I saw many talented people simply walk away from that bank even when the job market was terrible. However, now is an incredible time to find a new job, so why anyone would want to live in constant fear is beyond me…or support Bill and Beau…

RIFs will be a yearly occurrence from here on out. Seen this play out many times before. We refer to it as the 'Hunger Games'. Enjoy.

Yes, there will be more layoffs until Truist reaches the savings they told the regulators!

It is always good to have a Plan B.

Prepare for a lay-off and you’re set if one does Not Occur.

There will be more layoffs as soon as they figure how many positions can be outsourced. If you are non client facing and non revenue producing, they find alternatives. I was told to reduce my staff by 25% by 1st quarter. It's not feasible, so I'll probably will be terminated. At this point I don't care, tired of the same cr*ap, different day.

My team is supposed to get new laptops for MOE7 in February. Our manager has a date set but we don't. Is this a bad sign?

You are right to be worried. At the same time they can’t get people to fill jobs that are open they will start another round of layoffs first quarter. Remember that a lot of branch closures will be happening first quarter of 22. Rogers and Beau got your back though. Those bonuses they will be passing out will be the biggest ever.

I'm a bit worried that something might be coming at the start of the year.
