Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Who will do all this work?

Rumors are circulating and some have already begun to inquire about possible layoffs here. There is just one thing I don't understand. We are so short with workforce, that I don't know who will do all the work if more layoffs happen? I hope that rumors about layoffs are just rumors and nothing more.

Since 65% of our workforce is India workers, I'm sure once the inventory gets to a manageable level, there will be another round of layoffs so all of our Haliburton board members can line their pockets some more. Which at this point, I will be first to volunteer.Tired of cleaning up the BP messes and hearing how wonderful thei are day in and day out. Sad thing it, there is no where else in this country you can work to get away from the offshore incompetence. Everybody uses cheap, worthless labor.

I like the other statement about people on yammer. Who has such time? I earn my pay all day. There are some who think it is a right and part of their freedumb. It is not a necessary thing and they ruin it for everyone else. They are ignorant for attaching their names to their lies. HR and their supervisors know. Would be great if they go first.

Look at IT and claims processing. The work will get shoveled to offshore contractors in India who make $1000 a year. They will do the most basic functions, the more complicated work being piled on the few onshore workers who are "lucky" enough to stay. Rinse and repeat, one business area after another. To my knowledge, layoffs are all rumors at this stage, but more will come eventually, we all know that.

Hopefully they'll start with the super-geniuses that post on Yammer all day long.
