Thread regarding Textron layoffs

What is your main reason for leaving?

I've been here a long time and that's why it's so hard for me to leave. However, I am now seriously considering leaving next year because I am no longer satisfied with the atmosphere in this company. I was even thinking of accepting a lower paid job just because I can't stand the atmosphere here anymore.

If you are retirement age....then retire. I am so sick of hearing all the belly aching. It's the new generation as well as the "retirement" generation. The company doesn't owe you anything but a paycheck. Do your job and go home.

I am at retirement age and feel the same way. i don't play the suck up to mangement role. Just want to do a good job at what I do. Doesn't seem to matter to management. I'll most likely be gone by spring.

Unless you are going to start a business or work for a family owned company you will run into the same disappointment.
