Right from the start I felt that I was underpaid, given the amount of work I do. However, I was quite surprised to find out how much more the person I replaced here was paid. I wish I hadn't found that out, maybe I would feel better. It's not fair and it demoralized me a lot. Does anyone have a similar experience?

You need to be cheap to compensate for the high costs of all the SAP dinosaurs and talk-only management
You only have the job because the other person had been there a long time and had attained that salary. When it came time for cuts, they made the cut. Simple, really.
