Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

It is difficult to regain motivation

I have no motivation to work here at all. I'm only here because I still haven't gotten a new job. How do they even expect employees to stay motivated to work? No one believes their false promises anymore. I wish I had some motivation, it would be easier for me to do things until I leave, but unfortunately, I can’t find a shred of motivation anywhere in NCR.

NCR Managment has lost the ability to make good decisions. Bad Contracts. Bad Vehicles. Bad ethics toward employees. The Cardtronics Take over is an excellent example

When I was hired I was told that mentoring and some ride alongs for on-site training would be part of the job in the beginning. This didn’t happen my former Manager was a decent TM but took us on and really just wanted to maintain service for that particular customer as he knew nothing about them. It’s been seat of your pants ever since. Will be quiet for a while then bo-m you’re told you have to train on this or go to another customer and help without proper training on that account. Don’t like the inconsistently but at the time of hire I didn’t have much choice. Especially when you maintain the benefits in your family.

When there is no future, there is no motivation. Rest easy, there are a lot of employees that feel the same way you do that's why they're accepting offers outside of NCR and leaving. The death spiral started over a year ago.

Just curious, what promises were made to you that you feel like were false? NCR isn't the greatest place to work in the world but this seems a bit dramatic.
