I’m not a newbie at State Street, nor is this my first work experience. Despite all my previous experience, lately I can barely cope with a huge amount of work. It really isn’t a job for one person.
And then some advise me that I should work not hard but smart. Really? I would really like to see my boss 'working smart' and finishing that workload on time and without much effort.
Let's all go back into the office. Incentive of cheap lunches and cupcakes is so enticing. Meanwhile they offshore jobs. Who are they kidding?
Why bother complaining? You know they will transfer your job even if it is in an unsafe region in order to lower costs. They don't care. The town halls are a joke. They lie and think no one can see through the bs. When they say no cuts, watch out.

Sadly Senior mgmt doesn't care about the workers at the company.
Everything is about cutting cost through layoffs, outsourcing and brining in H1B workers.
When I was through I knew people so afraid of being put on the layoff list, they would take their breaks and lunch right at their desk. Image trying to eat and work at the same time, how sad.
I was the radical worker who would actually take my breaks and lunch away from the office. The breaking point was when my Boss sent a worker to the caf during my lunch.
To tell me I was needed to come back due to an issue.
This was the finally straw so I started looking for a new job and gave my notice 2 months latter.
I carried the workload of five employees that left. I was told figure it out l and then i had to train all new employees above and below me. The very top have zero idea what they are doing to morale. I’m very concerned they’ve pushed too many, too long and thee will be a devastating reckoning when people leave en masse.
