Long time employee here, I am not suprised. It's not only corporate positions they are filling with Indians or migrants, store level too! Lol. This company is a F$#KING JOKE!!

Giant Eagle doesn’t care about its employees or it’s customers. All they care about is making MONEY. For at least the last 35 plus years Giant Eagle has paid its employees low wages and that is what is going on with India. Cost of Labor is so low in that country they are taking advantage of it. Most companies are currently doing it. Giant Eagle is finally getting a piece of the pie.

In a couple corporate departments, team members have to train someone from the India branch. "Train your replacement" strategy. Sad.

Why isn't more being made about sending jobs to India? Why hasn't this been reported to the local news? These are jobs that should be filled by local folks. I thought Giant Eagle was about being a "good neighbor" but it's all about making the most money possible and to he-l with all the peons who they view as disposable pieces of trash. All those id--ts are over in India right now touring the GEB facilities for a week & a half. Maybe if the public knew how little they truly care they'd go ahead and move their business to Walmart. Not that they're any better, but at least you'd save some money!

$4.2 million is a lot of money… Looks like it’s time to raise the price on the sugar, oats and beans. And keep gas margins high to pay it off.

Giant Eagle/Getgo is known for taking advantage of its salary employees. They have been doing it for years and continue to do it. Getgo/Wetgo has so many salary employees that have no supervisor responsibility at all but are given a salary to avoid paying them overtime.

It also includes salaried leaders inside Giant Eagle as well. Not just a GetGo thing. Cr---y company is right.

In regards to the $4.2 million settlement any Salary Leader who worked for Getgo from 2014 to 2021 are entitled to a settlement. The settlement is based on how long you worked for Getgo from 2014 to 2021. If you worked the entire 7yrs you will receive the full amount. Employees have been contacted by mail..

This goes to show you what a horrible company Giant Eagle is. They have been taking advantage of salary employees for years and it has finally caught up to them. The sad part is they won’t change

I used to work for GE, but still have friends there. One told me the new e-com director put the wrong slide in a department presentation that showed the future state of the department, and all positions were 95% earmarked for the India GEB team, with only a small team of domestic employees.

I knew the new CTO was a corporate hit man the first time I met him.

Don't know if it's real, but I would be looking to get out, like ASAP
