Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

We talk change but in the end no change

The more we talk about change the more things remain the same.
This company will never commit to change until they purge management of these former UOP plants.
Waiting for the next round of layoffs....

I’ve been at Pearson for over 20 years and upper management has always talked about needing to moving faster, make things simpler, and innovate. It’s mostly just talk and very little has changed on the product side. They have been slow to make even the smallest improvements over the years. Leave If you don’t like it or be like upper management and do nothing.

What specifically about the UoP model has been so polarizing/controversial? Genuinely asking, not trying to be sarcastic .

Uop is Univ of Ph****x. A for profit model that will cause issues with many of our partners. The model practiced by up has caused issues with opm models and we have been called in front of congress because of it.
