Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Why is DST's management blind as a bat? Was told Layoffs were never possible!

Why are DST management blind as a bat? What is wrong with them? Were they born that way?

Would not recommend working there. Stressful environment, low pay, no job security anymore, abusive/incompetent managers. I laugh when people talk about "when the Tom's were there." Yeah, it was a craphole/sweatshop then as it is now. DST stands for Don't Stay There. He-l, I'd say don't ever work there to begin with!

DST TRULY felt they were a global powerhouse and I can guarantee you most folks outside of KC never heard of them, even in their prime. Hired all the local good ole boys, never looked for outside talent who would upset the applecart, stuck up for each other and cashed out together..... those who didnt make it or sleep their way into the inner circle were and still are doomed. SSC is a joke with Stoned and all his cronies.

The big question is how many people are left there? There seems to be a frequent stream of people leaving that company on their own it through a layoff. Was considering putting in an application there, is it not a good place to work?

When hire I was proudly told by H.R. that they had never had layoffs. And business was booming. Yes some managers are blind as bats and that is great cause you can make gestures to them as they walk down the hall and they can't see them! DST is sadly almost gone.

DST's leader were blind, unless you had nice looking legs. Then you got whatever you wanted. If you had chubby legs, or were not attractive, the others got the attention. You were ignored.

Yes the management didn't see sub-accounting coming as a given. How could anyone miss that - it was all over any industry magazine and main topics at all industry related conferences. Did management really attend the conferences as they claimed - or go golfing instead on the companies nickel?
