Why in the world would you worry about layoffs at a time like this? Things have never been better for O&G than they are now. Relax and enjoy it while it lasts (and it will last for a while, I think we can all see that). I don't understand people who stress even when there's no need for it. Help out your mental health and save your worrying for when things are bad.

P66 using this Firm?

P66 is the worst performer out of all peers by $1 per barrel so don’t go patting yourself on the back just yet. Cuts are coming and have to come. Nothing off the table and a big focus on cutting middle management across the board.
There will be 30% layoff in the coming months. Sharpen your resume and get the fu-k out before it is too late.
Well, might not be layoff related but we’re going to have to find a new “Diversity” director! She’s Conoco’s now! Or…we could just not fill the role since it’s utterly useless and subjective.
I don’t know about re-applying for roles, but you’re damn straight about the time studies, particularly in Finance. I distinctly recall the top financial services manager in Bville saying the previous time study was just for aligning work and that precipitated the consultant inspired re-org. Once that dust settles a bit, it’s time for layoffs. Sooo she was technically right, at that specific moment, but I’d anticipate it also being used for layoffs which is just lovely considering the go-lives and re-org over the past few years. I can’t wait to KMitch get defensive when asked about it in the next townhall.
My wife is director level. Layoffs are discussed by upper management far more often than most employee's thing.
The original poster must be sniffing gas fumes. Frequently.

Hilarious meeting this morning, McKinsey & Company got referred to as "The Bob's".
Native......I agree with the replies. They spent millions on consultants to throw their loyal employees in the trash.
A big welcome to the consultants, they always know best and are a steal at $5 million per visit! Do you think we or they care if we ruin your career and throw your life into turmoil, all over your $100k salary? No way, we’ll be cashing out big AND getting free catered lunches everyday. We can’t have our favorite corporate bloodsuckers paying for their own meals, that would be improper!
Because Mckensey and Co just showed up
