Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

We're desperate for more people

Everybody on my team is burning the candle at both ends. I'm so tired all the time that all I do is work and sleep, nothing in between. Luckily I'm not married, but I feel bad for my colleagues who are. Their partners must be pi---d at them. We desperately need some relief but apparently, we can't get any because nobody wants to work here anymore. I guess our reputation finally caught up with us. Either that or we're being lied to, which is also a possibility. All I know is that it's only a matter of time before all of us say we're done. I wonder if then, magically, they'll be able to hire our replacements.

Ah, this company will no longer exist soon. So really everyone should leave now. Don't try to build up credit and points with a organization that is disappearing! In 2 years, there will be no DST or staff. Its all ending, layoffs, shutdowns. Its over.

The best thing to do is to walk away from this company. They have proven over and over that they have little love for their employees and the prospects of it becoming better are slim. I put in many years there and miss my coworkers but not that horrible working environment.

This is not a career oriented company, the amount of incentive paid for high job performance is an insult. They make sure you know that you work on their terms and don’t be supprised if you get frequent warning about being fired, even when you are on top if your game.

No person would apply for a job at DST. They are laying off everyone. Other companies are hiring for the long term, with no layoffs, and pay much more than DST. DST is a sweatshop. Last place in town I would work, The sewage processing plant would be more attractive job than DST Systems.
