Thread regarding Canon Inc. layoffs

Canon never issued Work Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing in NY State

if you search the database, no Canon USA, or its subsidiaries.
Is this negligence?

Does anyone with any Labor Legal Expertise know anything about this?

Newsday and all the local press on Long Island and the other regions are disgusting and complicit. People need to know the devastating effect that these layoffs had on longtime employee that dedicated their careers to that company, as well as the communities that suffered as a result. Over 50, worked for the same company last 20 years and unexpectedly got laid off?
Good luck getting hired...
All for what? To report profit?

Not news. WARN is always avoided, at all costs, unless there is no other option. Every large corporation does their massive layoffs in waves 'just' under the numbers, and quarterly, as necessary to get around it.

They had a plan they executed.
They let workers go in waves as to avoid the WARN act. They laid off 60 workers in 2018 which is indexed across the Internet and published in Newsday. However when thousands were let go when Covid emerged Newsday had no coverage. This lets you know how power works. Do you think we have freedom of the press in the USA?
