Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Is anyone out there finding

Any job out there that will Hurd STT employees?
I am trying desperately to get a new job.
I have the skills credentials and experience.
There’s jobs out there but no bites.
Are they ghost jobs for pretend?

I find it hard because usually at least one of the interviewer is a current or former H1-B visa holder.

When sitting in front of H1 worker, I look too old in comparison.

It depends on your experience and education. If you work as a computer engineer you should be able to find another position even though you could be hired as a contractor. If you work in global operations or many other department's within State Street you may find another position but it will be dependent on your age and experience. If you have a good network of former colleague's you may at least get an interview.
@1zql+1fec1ySu - I agree with you and it definitely depends on your experience since many companies definitely need qualified workers. I know for a fact that JPMorgan Chase is always hiring. BNY Mellon is also another company who might consider hiring you if you are qualified.

IT skill sets and IT security are a hot field, which many U.S IT workers have.

If you followed the business trends companies have the goal of replacing at least
50% of their U.S IT staff, with very cheap H1B workers.

Interesting, a few of my friends changed jobs recently and got fairly big pay increase even they were paid much better in their companies compare what I got in STT.

Not too sure what you mean by hurd?

I've had a couple companies reach out recently asking if I'd be interested in applying to their positions, my friends are in corp. finance as well, and they have many interviews scheduled-one of my friends received two offers-both much better than STT- within one week. Jobs are absolutely out there, companies are losing people and need coverage stat.

I would suggest update your resume, work on cover letters, practice interviews.
