Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Why is executive dating an ethics violation at CNN, but allowed at DST

Jeff Zucker and his coworker got fired for dating. It was against company ethics. But the top brass at DST dated people below them and even married them with no penalty. Whats wrong here? Zucker was fired for dating. So was the McDonalds President. But DST doesnt care!

Some people do advance their careers unfairly by getting into an intimate relationship with their department head. The world is full of golddiggers. If it causes an issue, then DST H.R. will reassign the woman (not the man) to another department. You can't make workplace rules about morality. However other staff will always lose all respect for a person that gets ahead by being intimate friends with a manager that then promotes them. If you see your manager at work each day, then go home and they are living there with you, and your with the manager basically 24 x 7, or course it looks very bad. One of the persons could quit, go to another firm, then all is ok.

DST was a odd place. Yes, many people dated their supervisors and got all the perks. But if you happened to be the wrong faith, not the one favored by the leaders, you were going no place. If you were from India, no go. If you were a follower of the faith that the college on Troost believes - you were golden, I think this is a bigger issue than the many romances at work. Holding a grudge against someone for their faith is a holdover from the 6th century. Or WWII days...

Jeff Zucker was the most important news industry executive in the western world! The Elon Musk of news industry! And he was fired for a good reason. Nobody is saying he should have kept his job. Nobody is supporting him. People are glad he is gone now. His career is over! He is a disgrace.

A with many companies. ours strives to hire men and gals with "6 o'clock news team" looks. They don't care so much about your abilities. But your looks are very important. There is an image to uphold! Looks will add thousands to your salary!

The is not a "male attention" issue. How can you be so short sighted? Its a competition among women issue, and only the best looking woman wins! The average looking women, or faithful married women in a department are passed over and ignored for a beautiful woman single that was born pretty or could afford plastic surgery. So if your a very smart and skilled average woman it means nothing to the men at DST. If your a married woman who will not date your boss you mean nothing. The beautiful women get what ever they want, even get invitations to marry the senior male staff! Men can always get ahead. its the women that can't. And your born with your looks. If your born plain, is it fair that the senior staff ignore you and issue marriage offers to the vixen you work with that has less job skills? Its a valid question why DST does not have the ethics rules CNN might have.
