All those investors on the msg boards are asking how did this happen? The answers are on this site, read the posts. Rac is done, acima won't save them. Do your research before you invest in rac and i dont mean read the earnings reports and that nonsense. Go into a store and observe, ask questions. Good luck, LOL.

Reading all these responses. Wow! I've been doing this for 20 years and yes, it's hard work....for the guy complaining about not getting a day off in 3 months? You just started. I mean, it's a 40 hour week. You get Sunday and a day off during the week. OT cannot be forced and you have the right to say no. When I was coming up, starting a new job meant you don't miss a day for 6 months.
I can speak to the immense pressure for sales. I can also say that we don't see the other stores and regions #s anymore like we used to. Only get to see the #s of your district and nothing else. And the #s don't look good. No one is hitting standard. No one. I get close and am one of the better performing stores. I believe there is truth to the smoke and mirrors everyone is talking about and I have actually sat down and read the financial reports the home office has to release to the investors.
We're back to free time events and sales every few weeks. I hate that sh-t. Get COD if you want good sales.
And yes, we are blowing through people quick. Its been happening to me. Used to have great employee retention and its gone out the window the past year or so. The job market is awesome, we get ghosted without 2 weeks notice. It happens, but it's not just because the work sucks it's also because we're not hiring great people.
To me the most concerning thing I'm reading is the financial #s and I am curious to read more.
People, I'm telling to leave RAC asap, things only get worse when the weather is nice. Sales go down and credit get even worse and you cant take any time off. Days turn to weeks, months and years in this dead end job. Really is the pay raise that much more?
Leaving at the end of the month from this place been at rac 3 months straight no time off and when I ask for a day they look at me crazy never get a answer but I have no time they say we'll ge-z I can't just ask for a few days off anyways I am good with this company been burned out pay is not worth the job even after the increase I don't need to treated like a dog they should do what California is doing 4 day work weeks it's proven people are more productive and happier you want a happy employee do something like that people might actually do better or least enjoy their job a bit more then what they actually do cause everytime I go to another store to pick something up no matter where I go always the staff looks and sounds depressed I don't know about this company
It's April and since January we burned though 5 people already see a few problems the deliveries are too much you have 5 bedrooms 1 living room every other day you burn people up then when they call out seems the only answer is to fire them place is straight cold no concern at all for the employees no one will ever tell how they actually feel in these survey they send out they should do 4 day work weeks 10 hours cuz this place is beyond draining heard a guy who never called out worked all winter finally calls out 1 time and the other guy wants to replace him train your store managers better and if people ask for time off u see they are burnt up let them have time off I plan on leaving soon idc what they pay my sanity and happiness mean more then this place 7 months in this place myself and ready for it to be over
April 2nd is about the right time when credit gets even harder, the worst is yet to come. Good luck, so happy I left!
This company is burying itself for 1 they are so unrealistic is not even funny they lost a pile of money so hey let's have a big sale when no one can afford anything and if u get customers in there approval process is a complete and I mean complete joke it appoves anyone even skips you sit on the slt all day looking for sales and it has all past due people in it or people that don't want to be bothered they say no they don't want anything then the next freaking day they are back on the list to call so they started paying the delivery people more and other staff in the store and people are still getting the heck out of there maybe the first day or few weeks in credit is so bad because they keep renting to horrible people bottom of the barrel .. people who never paid a bill their entire life on time and they expect them to pay rac on time if not they do threaten your job daily that little bump in pay ain't worth it at all to be sweared at screamed at yelled at daily basis they need to retrain their dms and rd people and fix the approval process I don't see this company around in the next few years at all their culture is just so bad stuff I see probably border line illegal even I actually finally quit this abomination of a job few weeks ago ... they can pay u 20 a hour it's not worth it at all my daughter can actually see me now oh forget about vacation time at this place they will just grind u in the ground and sp-t u out they need to really focus on the employees happiness at rac because everyday is a struggle at this place but like I said I don't see this place lasting at all but least now I can relax and be happy
Wait till April 2 when the credit is high and the returns are also from this sale hey I want 45 sales and no one can afford anything in these times let's stress the Staff out and have them do a million fake sales

I agree, fake like their earnings report. Leave this Company! Customers can't afford to rent when gas and food are high, it will cause you a lot of stress at work. Your dm and rd don't care they relax at home on Saturday.

This company has a sale this week they want like 50 sales keep calling no one wants nothing and on top of that they are selling literally to anyone that has a blood flowing though them collections is out of control go pull the files see 1 number and name that's disco already now they want to pile on more skips we are being told to sell to anyone even if denied which doesn't matter may have better luck then the actual people being approved place is the worst looking to get out very soon biggest problem is your dm swearing at u and threatening your job everyday no job security people are quiting one after another even at the higher pay
Yea I’m starting to dread this job maybe they should start making better qualifying decisions before renting. Higher ups constantly pressuring us for sales and if not threatening termination of employees or shutting down the whole store. So they will type up fake sales to make us positive for the day.
Why does rcii have a supply chain issue? There is plenty of merch sitting in the customer's home not being paid on just losing $$$$. There is huge breakdown in the rac business, dont listen to the corp spin. You need to educate yourself on how rac business model works.
Wow is correct, many different theories on way rcii is tanking but one thing for sure, rcii mgmt has lost all credibility. Was there insider trading or information leaked about earnings? I read on here thar rac is a smoke and mirrors Company, decide for yourself...
I dont understand how you rent a used couch online. I mean previously enjoyed couch. Yep rac is going to be the new amazon of rent to own. LOL!
Warren Buffet- never invest in a Company you don't understand. Do you know how rac works? How revenue is projected? What happens when a customer goes 15 days late? How are customers approved to rent? Come on people wake up, the ceo says cash flow... Hmmm here we go with that cash flow again, clearly there is a ho-e in the rcii bucket. I'd say there is no bottom on that bucket, that must be what he means by cash flow.

Yeah our store also is doing horrible this is probably the most unrealistic company I've ever seen I am 4 months in so I get what's going on and already looking for a new job take that 17 and you go knock on someone's door first house I went to 3 months ago told me to f off and slammed the door I am trying to get out waiting for a call and I am out don't see the company lasting to much longer I regret that this job its super depressing I bring this to people home then the first payment they don't pay or move to God knows where good luck to everyone here but get out before this ship sinks
I worked for this company up till 2 weeks ago and looking at the reports every store is doing bad 300 out of 2,200 about out of those 300 store are the only ones that did okay could be off on the stores by about 20 or 30 but over 80 percent are in the red and last I was their they were tanking no one is paying your squeezing your help to want to quit like me collections is so bad when I left and I mean double digits every category they say they need results but a name on a paper and they bounce is not helping this place they first need to go back to the old way everyone is approved with a name on paper even auto pay is flawed your dealing with the lowest quality of person just to get a sale seen a guy leave with a TV he put in his shopping card but hey he was approved
