It is no longer clear to me why I made the effort to have a good performance. It seems to me more and more that neither hard work nor performance means anything at NCR. I no longer think it’s crucial when it comes to layoffs? Those who put in little or no effort seem to fare much better, as long as they make their manager look good.

What is a RIF? My husband works for ncr and gives them way too much of himself. Finally have convinced him to leave after his whole division was dissolved and he was reassigned. It's not stable.
Peer reviews are out dated, your review should be about you as an individual and not compared to others. We are all different and bring mixed talents to a group. Treating everyone as the the same should be barred. But it does tell how backwards the company is.
The people that do the real work get nothing while the pigs up and down the chain cash in. Classic NCR
It's really not and as you can see, even Bill VanCuren isn't being loyal to friends that carried him for many years or helped him keep his failures and missteps secret.
If M.Hayward only knew.
Just got my review LOL and no raise this year. I kind of expected it but was a very quick conversation. I thought maybe this was it and would be RIF but no still going. Seems like reviews are behind this year because last year I got it early February. Not sure what the deadline is to deliver them. See what happens later this year I keep hearing about late second quarter and more RIFs.
Yep. I got the RIF in 2019 after 19 years with this piece of sh-t company. They don't care who you are, or how good you may be.
Performance is irrelevant when it comes to RIF’s . IF your name is on the list nothing can save you. One of my buddy who got RiF’d last Friday had nothing but 4’s in the last 5 years at NCR. It’s a joke at this point. No matter how hard you work if you are a US employee you will be eventually laid off.
