If I was as unhappy at HV as some of you apparently are, I'd be long gone. No, this is not a perfect or even great place to work but for now, it's okay enough for me to stay. But when I read some of the posts it's obvious that people are miserable and yet they choose to stay? Why? Especially when the job market is this good?

I stay because I get paid to do nothing and work from home. As long as I keep giving new ideas what the company should do and create new business opportunities the management are happy. It’s just cut and paste, rearranging worlds and sentences, no one knows ( well now you do). So, I have lots of time to spent on LinkedIn, meta, web surfing, side businesses to make more money.
Some people I know also Uber/Lyft.
I left a while back and am surprised there are still people left in this dump. Tripled my salary and work at a place which is growing fast.
The place is a complete hot mess. Why would anyone who is happy there be monitoring this website? They must be very conflicted and confused.
The problem is that Vantara pays people severance to leave every year. Now so many stick around and wait for that check instead of just leaving.
I left because the money was abysmal. But I can understand why people might stay - most of the people were great.
Good for you! OP
Let’s hope the devil never gets to you ! But if that days come you are welcome to post your different feeling at that time
Perhaps Hitachi should put that on their job descriptions when hiring, "It's not a perfect place to work buts it's okay enough for me to stay." Two 🌟🌟 stars
You are right. If miserable, need to leave, for yourself and the happiness you deserve.
