I read the below from an article about Buffet and his recent Oxy and Chevron stock purchases. I wonder if he knows something we all don't know. Would there ever be a chance Chevron acquired Oxy? I am glad we all still have jobs at Oxy, but man it was a wild ride for the last 3 years. I for one thought we were done at Oxy, but it looks like the price of oil has turned it in the right direction for us. The APC purchase may go down as one of the best ever, if prices can stay on track. In all fairness no one could have ever known Covid was going to be as big a disaster as it turned out to be. Oxy management has also positioned us well with the LCV endeavor for today's political climate. Would you ever believe someone would be calling us a red-hot E&P company? Feels good to be back on the right track.
From Buffet Article:
The legendary investor has added new shares in red-hot E&P companies Occidental Petroleum Corp. (NYSE:OXY) and Chevron Inc. (NYSE:CVX) despite both currently trading at multi-year highs.
