Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Don't work too hard

Give Centene as much as you think it deserves. Based on how it treats you, how much it pays you, what your benefits are, and all the other small things that make a workplace better or worse. For me, this means I'm doing what I have to do but that's it. No going the extra mile, no helping out, no offering of new ideas, none of that. If they want the extras, they need to treat me better. I give back what I get.

@1zcz+1g796te8 You’re funny. If you only knew how it really worked. The majority of the company is allotted an amount for bonus/raise. It’s split up again for departments. I perform better than most of my team and we all get the same exact bonus/raise.

@1zcz+1g796te8 Your pants are aflame! None of what you wrote is true. "PAY FOR PERFORMANCE" is the employer's performance and the employee giving the employer everything the corporation has paid to receive. #TeamCenteneSweetie

This is the poorest piece of advice I have seen posted here. The organization is PAY FOR PERFORMANCE, you control your success within the company. I have been promoted 4 times in 8 years NOT settling for this approach. It goes both ways in that you get what you give. If you give minimum effort you merit increases and bonuses will be a reflection of that. Best of luck in utilizing your theory!
