Thread regarding Riverbed Technology Inc. layoffs

Failing to get an offer

The only reason I’m still here is because I can’t get another offer and I'm starting to feel a bit miserable. I guess many are still here for the same reason? The companies I applied to rarely want experience, but fresh out of college students.

Contributing to an open source project or taking a certification exam might help -- if nothing else, it'll show you where your skills might be weak. Plus it might help you figure out what you enjoy doing. Either way, good luck out there. It's been a hard few years here, but you deserve better.

Not saying Riverbed is doing you dirty but you might want to be realistic about what jobs you’re applying for and if your experience here aligns. But if your skills by being in Riverbed are atrophied, then you might want to consider picking up new marketable projects/skills.

If you're in Eng, PM, PgM, UX, it's important to prep, do mock interviews, use frameworks.
