Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Lots of misunderstandings

I have definitely reached a breaking point and I will do everything in my power to get out of here as soon as possible. Constantly some misunderstanding with our boss. How is it possible that a few people constantly don’t understand him well enough? That is impossible.
Does this happen to you too, so that when something is not done the way it should be, it's never the fault of the superior who did not set clear goals, but it is "your fault" because you didn't understand him?

I have had some BAD BAD bosses/managers in my life. The only advice I can give you is..

  1. Look elsewhere in the company for a job. It is pretty easy right now to transfer to another department.
  2. Hang in there because things typically do change at Centene.

I feel for you, that sounds like a barely tolerable situation. And a small person you have as a manager.

Sounds like the boss doesn’t know what he wants and can’t really articulate it. Or, he does and then changes his mind.

We may work for the same person.

They’re not misunderstanding. It’s intentional. People like this are intentionally vague, leave out info. etc. so that they can always leave themselves enough room to play things either way…things go well they take credit. They don’t, you get blame. If you try to force them into being very explicit with what they mean and don’t let them get away with this behavior they get very angry and often will then try to pretend you’re stupid and just not understanding them, but they’re actually being intentionally obtuse. In fact, their ability work and communicate this way is often the real reason they’ve gotten where they are. Plausibility deniability works every time.

It’s been this way since I’ve been here. It’s never their fault. Somehow you are suppose to be the expert and know it all. I’m
