Thread regarding Micro Focus layoffs

You're being underpaid

Do yourself a favor and start applying for jobs in other companies even if you don't want or plan to leave. It will help you practice your interviewing skills and, more importantly, you'll realize just how underpaid you are when you start getting offers. This happened to me and I've read a couple of other people mention the same thing in another thread, so it can't be just a coincidence. You have nothing to lose if you do this.

"You have nothing to lose if you do this."

That is correct only if your time has no value. When you are in a career versus a job, pay is not the only attribute to consider. Companies can lay off employees after they realize they overpaid the previously underpaid staff. So you get a 10% raise for a year then get to look for a new job. That's not for everyone.
