Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

I hate to see what Oracle has turned into

It's nothing but a shadow of its former self. We used to work together to achieve a common goal, now all everybody does is point fingers at each other to avoid any responsibility. People feel too comfortable lying and promising things we can't deliver and everybody seems okay with that. What happened to this place?

Narricists can't believe they harm others. Leaving Oracle quietly could save him from public humiliation and possibly no charges would be filed against him. His leaving would help the company repair some of the things quietly that he has damaged. He is not smart enough to realize what he is betting on.

This is will not disappear. It has to be dealt with. Going through what he has ahead of him will be horrible however, he has done this to himself. He can't help himself, he believes everyone is at fault and he has done nothing wrong and for those that don't accept their place should just leave, not speak up or do anything, just go away. If he doesn't leave Oracle, he will continue to harm others.

You seem to know a lot about yourself.

This generation does not accept abuse, they were taught about abuse, they are more evolved and smarter and they boldly stand up against unfairness and they do not like what he has done to so many. If I were him, I would resign and nobody would ever hear from me again. Instead he is going to stay and his entire life will become public knowledge, investigators using everything they can against him. This will be harmful for Oracle and his family and closest friends. He does not deserve to get away with all that he has done but, leaving his position of power might be one way of this going away, i don't know.

Yes, you are right. You are a serious problem. You have hurt many, many people and have been doing it for many, many years. Amazing that you know so much about yourself and yet you don't seem to be able to stop yourself.

It is mind-boggling at the level of blatant abuse & corruption at Oracle. It is like they have NO moral obligation to do the right thing. Yet, laws have been made to protect people from employment abuse. There is a leader that we know of that has violated almost every rule in the code of ethics that, the SEC requires publicly traded companies to publish and follow. He has taken a patent that a contract employee wrote that was slightly changed by others and he filed it giving credit to himself and others that may not even know that their names are listed. He openly abuses people and there is a recording but, the recording is not necessary but helpful. Depositions and affidavits will be sufficient after further investigation.

Most people really rather not stand up against a bully but, sometimes we have too.
People that abuse usually have been abused. People that stand up against that abuse hopefully, legally ...usually finds the healing that is needed so they can move forward and have a productive life. Abusers do not care what they do to others. The consequences from abuse does not affect them and they continue to abuse people. This person does not need to be in a position of leadership. The only way to stop this is to take legal action and fortunately, there is a group that is going to do this.

Taking work and taking credit for what others have done to get bonuses, promotions do not matter to some of these people;. This seems to be normal practice at O. If this particular person was smart, he would leave Oracle immediately but, he won't because he can't get a job anywhere else He is not going to give up his position of power. His reputation is horrible and his wrong doings are catching up to him. He is backed into a corner yet, he doesn't know it. Narricists can't believe they harm others. Leaving Oracle quietly could save him from public humiliation and possibly no charges would be filed against him. His leaving would help the company repair some of the things quietly that he has damaged. He is not smart enough to realize what he is betting on.

People do not get away with this level or corruptness forever. It catches up.
Oracle should terminate him and clean up the mess and rebrand themselves using Japanese management principles. The Cloud securities fraud case is serious and to have a U.S Patents fraud case to piggy back that, case is not good. This person can not stay at Oracle. He abused his position a long time ago unfortunately, it has taken years to surface and many every year has been abused by this person.

it has taken a long time but, finally the corrupt VP that filed fraudulent patent(s) will be brought to justice, soon and that will send a message to the others, to clean it up! Oracle has paid it's way out of things for a long time. This is different era. Money is not everything & competition is fierce which is a good thing because it keeps people on their toes. Multi-cultures do not care about the good 'ole boy system. Truth can not be hidden and change is the only constant. The media and big brother are always watching. There are too many checks and balances available.

The timing of the investors case re: Cloud securities fraud could not better to expedite the fraudulent patents legal process.
My guess is Oracle is going to use these two negatives to turn into a positive maybe a huge PR campaign to show to the world that they are cleaning things up and that going forward Oracle can be trusted and will show respect to employees. I believe the true inventor(s) will be rewarded and the corrupt VP will be used as an example and will get what he deserves.
Oracle has been behind the times, now it is time to join today's world.

Oracle has always had a dubious rep among techies. In the 90’s/2000’s, lot of colleagues left for O, only to boomerang back. It’s nothing new.

Consumption is the name of the game. One hundred years ago people died of consumption. Let’s see if history repeats itself.

Exactly but truth will eventually come out. It can not be hidden.
Not only do people not take responsibility but they lie to themselves And believe what they do is ok when it’s not. O needs help. Mgmt is the problem. Things are going to probably get ugly sooner rather than later.
We are dealing with a generation that is not afraid of calling people out. Maybe that is what is needed. I don’t know.
