One thing I've noticed recently is that most of the "do-it-all-Dave" type TE&Y guys that have always been willing to bend over backwards to get the job done are now pi---d off, disgusted and burnt out.

These are the guys that took every call, every shove to every junk train. CMS would always 'cherry pick' them because they took abuse without complaint.

Well, you've broken your whip on their backs and they're checking out.

Your workhorse is transitioning into a stubborn mule.

The reason they need manager volunteers to drive the vans and crews now is because they hired all the limo drivers as conductors. The only people that would take the job.

Well op their going to have to come up with something because when their current supply of te&y meat bow out sheet is going to hit the fan! People aren’t going to tolerate this abuse much longer. I believe if our contract is garbage it will get really bad for RR companies because you can’t run a RR without workers. I know not everyone will quit but where I work if we lose anymore guys we will be in full meltdown mode. Lots of guys are doing the math on time spent at work and wages actually being paid and it ain’t a whole lot especially factoring in time 1st out.
