Anyone else applying for the VSP offer? Is it enough to justify an early retirement?

Even folks who qualifies the criteria like over 55, minimum 10 yrs at PGE - not all are getting it. Is that fair? Shouldn't all get a fair chance to say yes/no before the leaders can pick and choose the folks they want to offer the package? Mostly they are worried that the leaders org chart will shrink because that position will be eliminated.
Depends on your situation. Count your blessings that you received one. For those eligible that were looked over....the lack of transparency speaks volumes to the new regime. Rumors are some were offered a cash payment of $60K, others a full year of salary....
I'm ineligible, but worth it to just change to a new employer, maybe one where the wheels aren't falling off the chassis.
I’m taking it. If they don’t get the numbers -forced layoffs on the way. It’s not to much of a reach to say it would be the same pool of people over 55 and top of the pay scale.
Anyone in groups affected, thinking of leaving in the next year and is 55 should sign up. Otherwise you are working for free IMO
I was reading this article which does a good job of laying out the factors people should take into account when making their decision: https://www.rfdtv.com/story/46463494/pge-employees-receiving-an-early-retirement-offer-get-help
How many people are being offered the voluntary retirement?
Only like 15% of the people who accept get to take it anyway so it isn't really your choice.
I'm 100% taking it, free at last free at last
