Thread regarding Sysco Corp. layoffs

Attrition is getting worse

I wouldn't mind if they bothered to backfill some of the positions. We're at the point where we have doubled our workloads in the last six months and it's not slowing down. Many of us are at a breaking point and won't be able to do anything if it continues like this. Something's gotta give.

My wife and I were both founding members of a new location. She was laid off while I was deployed. I walked away from 19 years. Shameful…. The Baughs would not have liked what Sysco has become.

It appears that many executives have been added and lots of jobs are being posted so maybe the workforce will catch up to the actual work

completely agree, Sysco no longer respects or cares about their employees. They keep eliminating positions and expect those that are left to cover the entire workload. I chose to walk away from a 30 plus year career at Sysco, I loved the work, loved the people, however I did not want to keep working 60 -70 hours per week , with no relief in sight . Kevin Hurricane has destroyed the heart , soul and morale of Sysco. It has been very sad to watch and I have heard there are more staff reductions coming by July.

Well, this is the result of laying off thousand of workers and trying to save 5 cents.
