Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

When will it be enough?

How many more of these announcements do we have to look forward to before the leadership decides it's enough? Living and working surrounded by uncertainty is not healthy! We're in this mess because of the decisions made by those on top and we're the ones who keep paying for it. I'll ask again, when will it be enough?

The public finding out how they treat there employess add empty shelves poor service and dirty and disgusting stores. It's called double digit sales decreases. Hyvee thinks these sales increases will continue with major payroll cuts. Maybe if all area supervisor stock stores 7 days a week and folks from corp office that over see entire perishable areas of our company. But big suite will still just raise he-l on phone and be at golf course Saturday and Sunday. While 2 workers run each deptvon the busiest days. It's called burn out. Coming soon to all local hyvee

The ones that will hold randy accountable will be HyVee customers. Randy has a vision for HyVee and the customers don’t like what HyVee is turning into. As customers stop coming back. HyVee will struggle until they are bankrupt.

Unions are the only thing that will hold Randy accountable

Has there been any rumors of layoffs at the store Level? Also, if one gives a week notice, can he or she still get paid out for vacation time?

You will NOT get the 7% sales increase with the high grosses you expect these stores to achieve. There are to many competitors out there with better prices .All your stores are way overpriced and the way CORPORATE is sailing this ship it's just a matter of time before it sinks. The constant badgering on your dept heads by supervision is not helping this company at all.

Are you kidding Randy?!?
You can’t write your own posts.
You created this mess….The pandemic created huge sales and profits for ALL grocery stores over the past 2 years.
Prior to 2019, Hy-Vee was struggling and saved by the pandemic.
The id--tic planning and forecasting has ruined many, many peoples careers and for some, their lives.
Can Hy-Vee bounce back? Absolutely.
However, Under the current uneducated and the friends and family leadership…not Likely.
Let’s go Curtis Stone!!

Get people in the door and maybe stores have a chance to get sales increases. But randy got saved with covid so don't make excuses for his poor leadership. The stores also have a better chance to make profit but it seems the warehouses want the profit more so they sell at higher prices. You must work with him to...kinda obvious with the trump saying

When will employees stop crying and start focusing on making HyVee money. Don’t waste your energy worrying about what the leadership is going to do. If the stores would make the 7% gains we wouldn't be in this situation. We are all lucky to even have a job with what’s going on. A lot of people were laid off during the pandemic. We were lucky to have randy guidance and leadership during the last two years. He made us get record profit the last two years. I’m sure he will make HyVee great again in the near future. One day HyVee will be a national grocery store brand with Randy’s vision.
