Fluffy chairs in office

Is it okay to bring our own fluffy comfortable chairs to the office? I know some old timers here will immediately jump on this thread and spew their venomous comments. I mean if you are allowed choices of clothing then why not seating? I dare you to beat this logic, will probably put you in convulsions 🤣.

@kdry

They lowered the LTI grants for LAPC to the lower Oxy standards. Its now 50-75% of what APC gave at the more senior levels

I brought in my small pet turtle Rex. No one said one thing about it.

I knew a supervisor that brought in a sleeping bag and cot, staying over night and on the weekends but he was eventually let go. If you do bring in a sleeping bag make sure that you are out of your PJs before work starts in the morning. Wearing your PJs at work is not a good look. It’s unprofessional.

A small turtle is apparently not a problem at my office building. Sadly, Rex eventually died :(

Anadarko had way better LTI than Oxy, did they keep the high percentage? were they lowered to Oxy's standards? or Oxy's were increased?

Yes it was prorated but the amount given should have been the full LTI. Apparently the APC were given the full amount

I would retire now, or for sure after the 2023 bonus if I also got vested in the LTI. I mean we were given the LTI for our past performance during our bonus, so we really already earned it. I think the fact we are down so many people and have so many job offerings Oxy needs to keep everyone right now. Maybe a VSP might come around again once the industry turns down a little.

The 2019 VSP provided for pro-rated LTI. Go back and read the fact sheet.

Oxy people under 2019 VSP also did not have full vesting. APC treated their people well in the COC. The amount of severance should have also been spread out over more than one year to minimize the Federal tax. But people knew what they were signing up for and it was their decision to take it or not.

The original batch of APC who left under COC had full LTI vesting. Those who were part of the voluntary (name your terms), did not.

How did you get LTI vesting? I thought you got screwed out of this like OXy people. Don’t tell me you got treated better.

I'm so glad I took my COC package! Between that, my long term incentives vesting, subsidized medical ,bonuses.... I no longer need to worry about this s&%t. Good luck!

What about a refrigerator stocked with the beverages of your choice. Maybe a TV for streaming movies. Oh, you probably already stream on your device anyway.

OK, Zoomer. Have another lolly pop and sit in the corner till you are summoned.

The approval for the chair must go through the ergonomics approval process. You need to locate the correct online form and obtain approval from your supervisor.
