Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Similar issues across the industry

I would most like that not to be the case, but I think I would have the same problems with most other companies in this industry. For a while I was actively looking for a new job but I stayed here for the reason that I didn't find much better conditions elsewhere.
When people find a new job and leave SF, they start exaggerating all the issues at SF and idealizing a new company. It goes on like that for a while until they realize that nowhere is ideal.

Same. I have been looking and applying but so far have not found anything that paid more or was worth trying to switch. I want to find something else outside of insurance just no idea what. I really do not want to go back into school again. SF has a way of gaslighting you into thinking you have all these skills, etc but honestly I feel like I got nothing lol. If the economy is getting ready to tank I may have to just ride this out for as long as I can until things settle down and reset.

@2jys. We are a leader not a follower. Right? Blame game is over.

@1xgm+1gNTMxdL- you do know inflation is at 30 to 40 yr highs all over the world right? Not helped by that wonderful war being executed by the sawed off runt Communist Putin.

@1dtq…..No. Just another normal human being who isn’t going to obsess about one thing. If somebody asks “how about that playoff game last night?” I’m not responding with an unrelated tirade about metrics and bathroom breaks.
Life is too short to waste it complaining about what you don’t like.

@1nvz Truth! When something is wrong, I don't sit back and pretend to live in a Disney World. That's how our great nation was founded, not by a bunch of clusterf--- who have zero common sense. I have been and always will be for the working folks. Anyone with common sense knows you can try to eliminate the middle man but you will never be able to eliminate their function.

Choices have consequences. They aren't no different than the sh#t show we have in DC. Leadership failure across the board and they will never be humble enough to admit it. Inflation, war, recession looming, baby formula shortage, gas prices, disinformation czar, anti constitution, etc. As long as they continue to strong arm true Americans, companies will tank. Insurance is no different and right in there with the rest of the corrupt.

If you jump to another large carrier it will be more of the same. Some of the smaller carriers or regional carriers that have not hired the same set of retread consulting firms are still worth considering. Best bet is to avoid the insurance industry altogether.
