Thread regarding Belk layoffs

I do not want to repeat the same mistake

Looking for a new job is a job in itself. My biggest fear is that I will leave Belk and go to a company where nothing will be significantly better. However, as time goes on, I am becoming less and less picky. Is it even possible to find a good job in retail?

I've worked at multiple different large brick-and-mortar retail stores. One thing I can say, as a current Belk employee, is that I left Belk and ended up coming back. No store is perfect, no SM is perfect and we obviously have a lot of changes happening that can cause headaches. However, from the trend that I've personally witnessed, Belk is by far my favorite retailer to work for (even though it isn't close to being perfect).
