Always recognize he who always says others must have Low esteem.

Instead of someone that works hard to keep a job to support a family, I think that filing a U.S. Patent claiming the work done by someone that was terminated would be low self esteem.

Everybody circumstance different Already got a job stating in a few months . While I wait, severance package might not be the best but will bridge until unemployment start. I have been saving, my finances are good . so until subcontractor job start, Will travel. If I quit, I don’t get severance and unemployment & no travel. Do what you need to do for what is best for you. Disappointed in Oracle. Outdated. management style suck. Company not healthy . Management corrupt. Have better opportunity coming.

There are several agendas and conversations intertwined within this thread.

Oracle has alot of good people that have positive lives. Building their own lives and careers. They may only be here for a brief time, who knows? Telling others that they are pathetic is unfounded and is telling who you are. Making general negative statements as you do seems to a way of life for you. It does not have to do bad. My hope is that you will find positive meaning in your life and learn that spewing negativity is not helpful. Whatever has caused to reach this place, I hope that one day things will get better and that you be able to encourage others.

Last night I was at dinner party with small group of close friends, all have Oracle stock. We were told by someone that knows a very wealthy woman that owns a significant amount of Oracle that she told him, personally, that she is fed up i with the attitude of this VP that criticizes and condemns everyone. She reads these threads as any smart investor would do that they find out truth the company that has their money. She went on to say that is sick of this VP that has done everything wrong and is on here trying to control the things said about him
And that his abusive behavior is unacceptable and she is repulsed that he filed (at least one) patent (that we know of) knowing he was not the inventor. And that all of his patents need to examined. She also told him, that he has abused the power of his job and he needs to be removed.
And that blaming someone else, a senior director for setting him
up was the icing on the cake for her so she a private investigator with a firm that focuses on Corporate forensics.

She told him that this VP . Is no leader. A true leader does not degrade your own people. The people that are hired to work hard for you, to make you and team successful. She said no wonder Oracle is dieing a slow painful death and she is not going to sit back and get reports and hear lies and excuses any longer. Like her, I have tough skin. The insults do not matter when directed or indirectly directed at me but I have a problem when an officer of a corporation where I have money demeans employees. Taking the work of someone for filing a patent is not only wrong towards the inventor but it is wrong to Oracle because there is at least one patent according law that is not valid. I basically agree with the OP, although I might not have put it that way. There are a lot of people at Oracle that this applies to, lots of people who don’t think about their career and their future. I was surprised how many people had been there for 30 years. This was their first and only job. No interest in the work at all. Just needed some kind of paycheck and didn’t care about anything else.

The reality is that if you are not very very close to retirement, you need to get your resume together and find a way to that next job. Oracle is going down big time. Find a way to the next job on your own terms. Don’t wait to be forced out. Take charge of your career.

No, you are definitely not a doormat. You are a rat, though, and you have manipulated dozens if not hundreds of unsuspecting people over the last 22+ years since I first had the bad luck to meet you. How many of those people have you severely traumatized?
