Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Compensation is no longer competitive

I won't lie, DST used to pay well, that's the main reason why I stuck around for as long as I have. However, that hasn't been true for at least a few years with pay increases that can only be called insulting. I've had enough and I'm planning to leave as soon as the right offer comes along. DST lost the one thing that kept most of the top talent around. The exodus is about to start.

Ha I am laughing! You say DST paid well? That only applies to the 20 employees at the very top! The same ones that never came to work! The purple palace was always empty!

Agreed, DST never paid well. Just a sweatshop.

DST never paid well. If you compared them to Hallmark, Sprint, American Century with a couple month paid sabatical after 10 years of employment with them, and H&R Block, well DST fell far short of others. In 1989 a gal I worked with left and went to Sprint, she gave Sprint 15 referrals from DST who left for Sprint. She got a nasty letter from DST HR, but people are free to leave their jobs! And boy did DST staff leave for Sprint!

Lol true but the pay is a nice supplement for my other job as a sys admin. After layoffs in 2014 I went and got a new job, only never quit dst. My 10 hrs a week at dst gave plenty of time to work another job. I’ve been stacking cash for years now thanks bill!
