Thread regarding Ernst & Young layoffs

4 months in...

Four months in and I do not see what is so special about EY. Everyone is working crazy hours in hopes for bonuses and promotions. The higher you go up the ladder to more hours you spend working. Where is the work-life balance? What type of life are you leaving? Am I missing something?

I hate working at EY. Money is good but you won’t have a life. I’m quoting as soon as I can afford to.

There is no work life balance at EY, culture is fake and it is who you know and not what you know will make you move up. The environment is highly political and there are so many regulations and processes that you lose the meaning of serving the client!

Work-life-balance is hard when you are client facing. Clients pay top $$$ and want things to be done timely. The consultant delivers.

You want work life balance, leave the BIG 4, demands high, culture is fake, promotion goal post moved frequently.
