I think we'll have to start hiring more aggressively soon, there are too few of us and too much work that needs to be completed. I think the leadership didn't plan ahead when laying off/encouraging people to leave and now we're in a position where we have to hire with no people available. Unsurprising, to be honest.

How's the situation now?
Snps better start paying IC more than managers...it's the best way to get new or retain old talent. Ppl should be given the option to mgmt position but told to expect lower wages - an easy way to cull bad managers. ICs above sr staff shouldn't be managers. They have to chose one or the other
