She must be pretty or achieved something else...

I know of one guy who is an individual contributor, he calls himself a 'CTO', if you dig a little deeper he is in a presales team, he earns less than some Senior Presales consultants...
Some call themselves VPs and Global VPs, they have NO team nor do they have any influence, just alot of EGO

as you rightly said, it’s a lot of “friendly connections”, even the admin assistants and supporting casts tend to be the wives or relations or someone in the company. Keeping it tight

Do not worry about the CFO's, or CFO's.

The better ones are those who hang "Global" on their title. Such as "Global" Vice President of this or that. We have such one on my team, one day they just started to call themselves "Global" VP. No announcement from management about such a new title or role.... great that we have a company who allows people to indulge themselves in self platitudes and always looking to impress the others.

Long live the CFO's and COO 's of SAP!! The bus is full and what a grand ride it has been!! Hats off to every one of you!!

How Bollywood style…

In my region we actually have CFO reporting to CFO, no joke, it's absolutely true !!!.    SAP turned these titles into a corporate embarrassment.   It's like,  here's a new job and you can pick any title you want.

It is most amazing. Every other person is a “Head of “ or “CXO” or “VP” of a product area / product / region / country. Whatever happened to the conservative German culture? Come to think about it, there is not much German culture anymore, since the employees are all over Example, from Hungary, India, Russia, India, China, India, Poland, India, Brazil, India

couldn't agree more. the use of C level titles in this company is a complete joke. I have to keep myself from laughing when I get in a meeting or call and go through introductions and hear people trying to impress the others with some ridiculous C title of some insignificant team. would be most interested to have a report from HR on how many people have such a title. who know maybe next is we have multiple CEO of every kind throughout the organization!!

@2zal+1gdpFvDa. How do you know if someone is overpaid? Do you know their salaries? If so, how? Or is that just an assumption on your part.

Agreed, I see many teams, organizations, functions that have somebody with the title of CFO.

The same applies and even more so with the "COO" title. Even very small teams have somebody using the COO Title.

It isn't just a matter of lack of organizational structure that leads to this random use of titles meant only to impress others. But equally important it is a lack of clear and consistent roles and responsibilities across the organization for such positions that then leads to overpaid individuals having responsibilities well below what customarily would be associated with such titles.
