A small digression. I recently talked to a friend about how I would like to get out of here and look for a job in a startup, in response to which I received a tip that I should avoid any startups founded by ex Oracle employees. It's funny of course, but it says a lot about the toxicity of this company.

Some startups that I know about are doing quite well. I think it’s something that should be considered.
Oracle should definitely prosecute those vps who have stolen code from Oracle. Go for it! You have my blessing!
They might even be selling back to Oracle? That would be a laugh, wouldn't it?
Yes, could be something you should avoid. After all, they could have taken the code for the start-up from Oracle, had a bunch of interns rewrite it, so it looks a little different, then founded the company on it. Someone could also be raising them up before destroying them. Who knows?
It's a sad world out there.
Definitely planted, but I expect the intended target knows better.
Conspiracy theory warning!
Could this be a planted thread to discourage folks from creating, or joining, startups founded by former Oracle staff?
Yes, depends on the person. Use your own judgement.
The two best bosses I’ve ever had are both Ex Oracle. Of the worst bosses I’ve ever had, half of them are ex Oracle. It depends on the person.
