Everybody I talk to is so quick to start bad-mouthing the company and the leadership. Not that I don't understand that, I'm not too happy with them either, especially when you look back at the past three-four years. I'm just suppressed more people are not leaving if the dislike is that widespread.

TRASH company which is everyone is RUNNING out of there. Get ready for ALL the lawsuits coming!!!!!
Garbage company I spent almost 2 years with. Do they not know how toxic the culture is there, or do they just not give a F?
I spent most of my career in or around McDermott, and it was a great company, a leader in the Oil & Gas E&C industry. Unfortunately the ill advised take over of CB&I that was badly run, had a totally different management style to MDR, totally incompetent in bidding and running projects. Had MDR management only put MDR personnel at the top of the organization and the next 2 tiers it might have proved to be a worthwhile acquisition, but alas they did not. Actually made it worse by putting them in charge, especially in Houston, creating a toxic environment for the legacy MDR folks, who actually bought them. Glad I left and joined a new company where the environment is one of collaboration, respect and friendliness
Everybody is leaving. From the top down to the bottom. The dislike is growing fast.I know of seven in the last month who have left.
I love my job. Left MDR about a year ago and it was the best decision I ever made. EVERYTHING is better at my new job. ;)
