Thread regarding Newpark Resources Inc. layoffs

Most of the talent is already gone

Most of the people I enjoyed working with left here a long time ago. Those were the people from whom something new could be learned every day because they were top experts.

However there are still very capable and knowledgeable people here, but it seems like Newpark is doing almost nothing to keep them? Why is that so? Why are the best people suddenly no longer important?

Maybe you should take 5 minutes or less and take a look at the quarterly financials. You will quickly see a long line of quarterly and yearly losses in fluids. Outside of the 4 or 5 deadbeat officers, experience or credentials don’t matter. What SHOULD matter is, who can or will contribute to PROFITABILITY for the shareholders ~ something Newpark hasn’t done since Perry’s days many moons ago. Fluids can’t say MARGIN, much less spell it.
