We have so many non-performers that whine and have figured out the system to stay employed. It really sucks the life out of the ones that do perform. So much time and effort is put into trying to make them better and they just go back to their old ways while others pull their load. Oxy needs to clean house of these useless employees. I would rather work twice as hard with them gone than spend another day working hard and watching them skate by with the minimum effort.

They will start collapsing grade levels and in the process shift people downwards. Seen that one before.

Fire them?...All I've seen so far are promotions, promotions and more promotions. What do you do when you've reached the top of the ladder mid career?...Hope that HR creates more positions? Never seen anything like this in my 40 years in the biz.
OP...chances are you don't perform well and are overpaid for the little value you add. Get a life.
Fire the ones that don't perform? Its Oxy, there would be nobody left. When you hire rejects that couldn't perform at a real O&G operator, you get an employee base that can't perform. How do you not get that?
