Thread regarding KPMG LLP layoffs

People are The most important asset at KPMG

There are no layoffs (right now) and KPMG will do layoffs only as the last resort. I've been with the firm for about 10 years now and I've see good and bad days, so trust me when I say that layoffs are rare. There are other drawbacks though, for example, you will work more than 40 hours per week (almost for sure) and you will have to network and build relationships in order to grow. Attach yourself to a good manager that's climbing the ladder, they will pull you up as they climb. That's a must. Now, you will also see a ton of good things, the work culture is very inclusive and people are very smart and supportive. You will have a ton of opportunities to learn, grow, get training, etc. Also, given where we are with COVID and Inflation, you will see that multiple bonuses per year are give (other firms are doing it too). That's cool and while $$$ is not the most important thing, this always helps quite a bit.

Wait and see what happens when your utilization drops under 85%
