What's the best way to get a promotion?

Your best bet is to move into new departments and department hop to teams with bigger budgets, external racing roles also tend to pay slightly higher.

Just an FYI, promotions at CF, generally, are capped at 10% raise. You might he able to get a little more if you forego your next merit increase. After a few promotions you will be woefully under paid.

In my experience, being unwilling to take on additional responsibility has been the direct reason people were not promoted, so please do not listen to that advice. However, being judged by your worst work is quite plausible, so make good decisions on which additional responsibilities to take on. Use it to show strengths they wouldn’t otherwise see.

Genuine Career Advice: Don't take on any responsibility than you have.

I know it sounds kinda counter intuitive but your going to be judged by your worse work, no matter if you barley touched it and the other 95% of the work was great.
