To all Up non agreement reading this: what are you going to do to better satisfy the customer? Reduce rr congestion? What is the plan to improve Up and rectify the problems that the STB wants fixed. ?

I'm a young extraboard engineer with low seniority. I'm helping the railroad by laying off on call and picking and choosing my trains because I have fmla to protect me from attendance policy.
Managers do what they are told thats a stupid response in itself u do what u are told because u don’t enough smarts to think for yourself
We will cook you some hotdogs and hand out some trinkets. Sound good?
There's so many things they can do, but the chances of them doing the right thing are almost zero. The fact that the STB highlighted the issues related to PSR, I would expect it to be a wake up call. The problem I see is that they knew about these issues before they even started PSR. The employees that actually run the RR, knew what was going to happen before it actually did. Well guess what, upper management didn't listen at all and it's now falling apart. Again they were told in advance. They had two congressional subcommittee hearings, and now the STB hearing. The STB hearing is what some said is the third strike. I don't agree with the UP doing nothing. I do agree with the upper management and executives pointing the finger though. It's what they do best.
They'll do what they've always done, which is nothing. Then when everything goes to he-l, they'll blame it on everyone else. That's the reason the UP is neck deep in sh-t right now. The managers only know how to create problems. They can't fix the problems caused by the very decisions they made, and will point the damn finger at anyone when it falls apart.
I would like to read the non-agreements answers. I am curious how many (if any) dont have the ‘blame the agreement employee for everything’ mindset. I have witnessed every manager demonstrate
‘go along to get along’.
That’s up to the execs, not all non agreement employees. They just do as they are told, the same as you.
