Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Expect more cuts

Last year due to covid & supply chain issues HPE moved from compensating sales upon order shipments to compensating upon bookings. It's probably the only reason that the mass exodus didn't happen last year. Problem is, this strategy is draining free cash reserves at an astonishing rate and there is still no end in sight for supply chain problems. So, what will HPE do? I'm guessing (wait for it....) more layoffs.

@2lvd+1h5aVtkr makes an excellent point.

If you look at Net Revenues for HPE, since 2016 they have been flat! Virtually no growth, I don't think aaS will save them either at this rate.

A new CEO won't change this. It's been happening for 5 CEOs.

There has been no strategy beyond moving jobs to third world countries and getting rid of anyone over 50 for quite some time now. Until they get a new CEO, expect the death by a thousand cuts to continue
