So they use company money to prop up the price and sell. If the price was so good they would be buying not selling. I suspect that they are selling to pay tax on their paper gains. Still if the prospects were that good they should borrow to pay the tax. They know dxc is a turkey.
The rich / board / ceo shouty gets richer whilst the employee on the ground gets poorer.
Planned trades. They will have them setup for the same dates across the year to sell all of their holdings.
Difficult for the board to do much else really. If you pick times to sell then you get accused of insider trading.
If you suddenly decide you need another mansion and sell it scares the horses too.
Which sort of makes a mockery out of stocks as reward incentive.
