Thread regarding Adtalem layoffs

Why? Really, Why?

Why are Adtalem (ATGE) shares doing so well? How is ATGE making money with these subprime schools? Chamberlain, Walden, AUC, RUSM, RUSVM. The student debt must be enormous--especially with some students paying 12 percent interest on the private loans. ATGE writes off the loans but some of the students are in debt forever? Sooner or later this operation cannot stay intact, even with layoffs (euphemistically referred as "synergies").

Isn't that how capitalism works?

Nice article! Another bit of evidence that the for-profit schools are making their owners rich while their graduates often can't pay back their student loans.
