Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

KERP payments being increased to 35K avg

Due to rapidly increasing attrition rates

"higher-ranking employees whose knowledge of the business and
managerial skillset would be extraordinarily difficult and costly to replace at this
point in the chapter 11 cases" Ya think?

The number of recipients appears to be fewer and the whole group total dollar amount seems to be the same as originally proposed.

Honestly just Fook off. If you are staying around for the money, you are mental. They are spending your money on CPQ.. What a useless project that is. HG is one large PEN1S.

People went down with the titanic because they had no choice or gave up their seat for women and children!

There is no rational explanation why anyone would sacrifice themselves for a TWO TIME disgraced corporate entity named Sungard AS which is now just a carcass of its former self!

The fat lady has sung. The show is over. Turn off the lights.

...and (drumroll) GOOD RIDDANCE!

The increase is due to people leaving before the payouts, leaving the remaining pool to be redistributed to the few remaining.

Perhaps the last remaining person gets it all!

Desperate corporate executives do desperate things to stop the departures. Too bad none of them actually know how to do anyones job (let alone how to run a company).

Have KERP employees already been notified? I assume I am not on the list but would like confirmation.

Those extraordinarily difficult to replace people could get a salary increase greater than that amount elsewhere and not just as a temporary payout.
